§ 16-97. Amount established.

(a)

The amount of license fee on specified vehicles shall be as follows:

(1)

Each passenger automobile, station wagon, truck or similar motor vehicle licensed by the commonwealth ..... $20.00

(2)

Each motorcycle, motor scooter or other similar vehicle licensed by the commonwealth .....  10.00

(b)

The treasurer will include the license fee prescribed by this article as a separate item on the personal property tax bill for each motor vehicle subject to the license fee. The fee will be due on the first billing of the fiscal year.

(c)

Each member of the town fire department, each member of the town emergency squad and each member of the town police department shall receive one exemption for one vehicle each license year. No person shall receive more than one exemption in a license year.
